Sell your Used Farm Equipment, Construction Equipment and Trucks with Switzer Auction.

How can I sell my equipment at Switzer Auction? Every 45-60 days we have Consignment Auctions at our Sealy auction yard. We can also sell in our Private Treaty Sales yard.  We conduct Estate Sales, Farm and Ranch Dispersals, Liquidations, Surplus Auctions, and real estate auctions.

When is the best time to register my consignments? Consign as early as possible to maximize your equipment’s marketing exposure.

When and where do you accept consignments for your equipment consignment sale?
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm and the weekend prior to the sale (call for hours).  Deadline to consign is the weekend prior to the sale by 5pm. Call to verify the day and time before you come.  We are located at 1036 S. FM 331, Sealy, TX 77474.

***Please have all operating equipment to our yard at least 3 weeks prior to the sale.

What if I need assistance loading and unloading my equipment?
Our staff is ready to help you haul your equipment to the auction, load and unload your equipment at our facility.  Please call us at 979-885-2400.

What is the procedure to check in my equipment at your Equipment Auction?
When you check in your equipment, provide your name, address, phone and email.  We must have signed titles on all vehicles and correct paperwork on trailers before these items are check in.  We will discuss description, estimates and reserves. If you wish to put a reserve on an item, a pre-established minimum price, it must be written down on the check-in sheet and signed.

If you are using sales tax exemption or agricultural tax exemption, you will need to provide proof at the time of registration and payment.

Do you provide Photography and Videos? Will will handle all photography and video marketing.

What is the commission structure to sell items at Switzer Auction?
Our standard commission rates are as follows:
$1-$100            25%
$101-$250       15%
$251-$2,500   10%
Over $2,500    8%

These rates are on a per item basis.  There is a minimum $5.00 commission per lot.  Commission rates are subject to change, please call our office with any questions.

Payment to the Seller
The Auctioneer shall not be obliged to release any funds to the Seller for Lots sold until the Auctioneer has received cleared funds from the Purchaser of Lots sold.

Unsold Lots
Unsold Lots must be removed from the sale site or lots will be put back in the next auction, selling as unreserved, unless the Seller has signed written agreement with a reserve for such Lot.
