How to Bid and Buy!

Bidding In Person

Bidding in person at Switzer Land & Auction Services is easy.  On the day of auction, you will need to bring your driver’s license to register.  If you have a farm exempt number and want to use it on applicable items, the original or photo of the farm exemption certificate is required on the day of the sale.  Then you will receive a bidder number… You are ready to bid!  After you are finished bidding on the items and were the winning bid, all you have to do is check out, pay and load your items to take home.

Bidding Online

Bidding online allows you to bid in the comfort of your home or while you are on-the-go with your smart phone or computer.  Register with Proxibid HERE and you are ready to bid, or when the live auction begins on auction day.  We do have select items in the auction that will also be sold online as well as onsite, these items are on Proxibid and can be viewed weeks before the auction.  We do accept consignments up to two days prior to the sale and our inventory on Proxibid will be updated daily.

Please read all terms of auction before bidding.

Bidding by Proxy

If you cannot attend the onsite auction, you can place an absentee proxy bid.  Switzer Auction’s auctioneers can bid on your behalf.  Fill out an Absentee Proxy Bid Form.  Any questions, call us 979-885-2400

Payments Accepted

We accept credit cards (the credit card company does charge a 3.5% convenience fee), personal or company check with Bank Letter of Guarantee and cash.  If you are paying by check, use our Bank Letter of Guarantee form and bring the form filled out on the day of the auction.

Auction Buyer’s Premium:

At our Farm, Ranch and Construction Equipment Auctions, a 10% buyer’s premium will be added to items purchased that are $2,500.00 and less.  For example, if the winning bid was $1,000, the buyer’s premium is $100.00 and the final price you will pay for that item is $1,100.00.
