How to Bid at our Equipment Auctions

Bidding In Person

Bidding in person at Switzer Land & Auction Services is easy.  On the day of auction, you will need to bring your driver’s license to register.  If you have a farm exempt number and want to use it on applicable items, the original or photo of the farm exemption certificate is required on the day of the sale.  Then you will receive a bidder number… You are ready to bid!  After you are finished bidding on the items and were the winning bid, all you have to do is check out, pay and load your items to take home.

Bidding Online

Bidding online allows you to bid in the comfort of your home or while your on-the-go with your smart phone or computer.  Register with Proxibid HERE and your ready to bid now, or when the live auction begins on auction day.  There is an online fee to bid.

Bidding by Proxy

If you cannot attend the onsite auction, you can place an absentee proxy bid and Switzer Auction’s auctioneers can bid on your behalf.  Just fill out an Absentee Proxy Bid Form.  Any questions, call us 979-885-2400

Payments Accepted

We accept credit cards (credit card will add a 3.5% convenience fee), personal or company check with Bank Letter of Guarantee, and cash.  If you are paying by check, print out the Bank Letter of Guarantee.

Auction Buyer’s Premium:

At our Farm, Ranch and Construction Equipment Auctions, a 10% buyer’s premium will be added to items purchased that are $2,500.00 and less.  For example, if the winning bid was $1,000, the buyer’s premium is $100.00 and the final price you will pay for that item is $1,100.00.
